Can Claude answer from our Elium content?
Yes. Elium supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so Claude can search your spaces and read articles during a conversation.
What does setting it up involve?
An administrator creates a connected app in Elium, which supplies a client identifier and a secret. You add Elium as a custom connector in Claude with your platform address and those credentials, then switch it on inside the conversation.
Will Claude see content someone cannot open?
No. Every request runs with the permissions of the person signed in. The connection is read-only, so nothing can be created, edited or deleted.
What happens with very long articles?
Articles longer than about 15,000 characters are shortened, and Claude is given a link to read the full version in Elium.
