Gap Detection

The questions your knowledge can’t answer are your most valuable signal. Elium surfaces gaps from real search and AI activity, ranks them by impact, and routes each one to an owner.

Listen to the misses

Every unanswered question is a signal. Surfaced, not lost.

When a search returns nothing or an assistant can't ground an answer, Elium records the gap. Dead ends become a living list of what your knowledge base still needs to cover.

Prioritised

Know which gaps actually matter. By volume and impact.

Gaps are ranked by how often they're hit and where, so your team writes the article a hundred people needed, not the one nobody will read.

Routed to an owner

From gap to assigned, automatically. Into the same governance queue.

A detected gap becomes a content request routed to the right space and owner, so it gets filled the same governed way as everything else, instead of lingering as a known unknown.

FAQ

Common questions about gap detection

It captures the real questions people ask. Searches that return no results are visible and exportable from the Search dashboard, and every question put to Elium’s AI is logged with the sources it used, so unanswered or weakly answered questions surface instead of disappearing.
Yes. Every question asked to Elium’s AI can be exported to CSV (with the question, the answer given, the sources used, and who asked), and zero-result searches are exportable too, so you can analyse gaps in your own tools.
Gaps are surfaced from real search and AI activity and reviewed by an admin, who can answer the question or link existing content and mark it resolved, feeding straight back into your knowledge base so the next person gets an answer.
Only platform admins can view and process this feedback, so the raw questions stay with authorised people. As everywhere in Elium, it sits under one permission model and European hosting, with answers grounded in your own content.
