Common questions
Can we get all our data out?
Yes. An export contains JSON metadata, covering article types, titles, tags, comments and users, together with an archive of every attachment in its original format.
Who can download it?
System administrators only. You request the export from support, then download it from the Advanced section of the admin panel.
How is the export delivered?
From your own platform, never by email and never through another host. The archive is password protected, and the password sits next to the download.
Can we load it straight into another system?
Not as it stands. The structure is documented and complete, but mapping it onto another tool takes development work on your side.
