About this integration
Add Google Drive files and folders to your Elium articles. Show a Drive folder that stays in sync, or import files as native copies that Elium indexes and makes searchable. Administrators can also run bulk imports. Your team keeps working in Drive while the content becomes findable in Elium.
What you get
Preview or import
Keep files live from Drive, or make an indexed native copy.
Folder sync
A Drive folder shown in an article stays synchronized with Drive.
Searchable content
Imported files are indexed for Elium search and AI.
Common questions
If we edit a document in Google Drive, does Elium follow?
It depends how you added it. A folder displayed inside an article stays connected to Drive, so changes appear. A file you imported becomes a copy in Elium and does not follow later edits.
Will Drive content appear in Elium search and AI answers?
Only if you import it. An import is indexed and searchable. A preview leaves the file in Drive and its content is not indexed, so neither search nor AI assistants can use it.
Is there a limit on how many documents we can import?
No. An administrator runs bulk imports, and the process has been used to bring across tree structures of several tens of thousands of documents.
After a large import, can we reorganise what arrived?
Yes. Imported files appear in an Index tab in the destination space settings, where you can tag them in bulk, move a folder and its subfolders to another space, or change their owner.
