All integrations

Microsoft PowerPoint

Preview and co-edit PowerPoint decks inside Elium: animations and layout intact.

About this integration

PowerPoint files stored in an Elium article can be edited in place, without downloading anything. A contributor clicks the file, opens it in PowerPoint for the web, and edits in the browser. Changes save back to the file on Elium automatically, and several people can work on the same deck at once.

What you get

Edit in place

Open and edit a PowerPoint file straight from an article, in your browser.

Real-time co-editing

Several people can edit the same presentation at once.

Saved automatically

Changes are written back to the file on Elium, with no manual save.

Common questions

Are slides searchable and usable by the AI?

Yes. Presentations are indexed, and AI answers can draw on them alongside articles.

Can we turn a deck into a native Elium article?

Not yet. File import creates a native article from a PDF today, and Word and PowerPoint are planned.

What does editing a deck require?

A contributor holding a Microsoft 365 Business licence. Readers open presentations without one.

How long does Microsoft hold a copy?

Content is no longer stored once an editing session ends, apart from a viewing cache: rarely opened files expire within days, and frequently opened ones can stay up to 30 days.
