Microsoft Power BI
Pull Elium article metadata and engagement into Power BI via authenticated CSV.
About this integration
Bring Elium's article data into Power BI to build your own dashboards. Elium exposes article metadata and template fields as a data feed that Power BI reads over a secure URL. The connection refreshes live, so your reports stay current. You choose exactly which content to include with a saved search.
What you get
Build custom dashboards
Report on Elium article metadata and template fields in Power BI.
Live data
The feed refreshes in Power BI rather than from a static export.
Choose what to include
A saved search defines exactly which metadata is exported.
Common questions
Can we build Power BI dashboards on Elium data?
Yes. Elium exposes article metadata as a CSV file behind a URL, which Power BI reads directly and refreshes.
Does the export include the articles themselves?
No, metadata only: titles, tags, authors, publication dates and template fields. Article bodies are not included, only published articles are exported, and an export covers up to 3,000 articles by default.
Does it work with Power BI in the browser?
No, the desktop version only. The web version cannot read a CSV file from a URL.
What kind of account does the connection need?
A dedicated account holding the system administration role, signing in with a password rather than single sign-on. That role is powerful, so give it a strong password.
