About this integration
Query Elium's semantic search directly to enrich your own agent or search experience. The API returns the most relevant extracts, references to their source articles, and a relevance score per result, all under the calling user's permissions, on live data. It is the retrieval layer for a custom RAG system, without calling a language model.

Common questions
Can we query Elium's search from our own application?
Yes. A semantic search call returns the most relevant extracts, references to the articles they come from, and a relevance score for each result.
Does it call a language model?
No. This route uses Elium's own search engine. You can feed the extracts into your own model, or show them as they are.
Are results filtered by who is asking?
Yes. Access rights are respected, and results are read live rather than from a synchronised copy.
Can we narrow it to part of the platform?
Yes. A call can be limited to the scope of a Smart Assistant.
