About this integration
Elium works with Slack in both directions. When a new article is published in a Space, Elium posts it to the Slack channel you choose, so people see it where they already talk. And when useful knowledge is shared in Slack, your team can save that message, text and files included, as an Elium article in a few clicks. Nothing is copied by hand, and every link points back to the source in Elium.
What you get
Publish to your channels
New articles are posted automatically to the Slack channel you choose.
Capture from chat
Save any Slack message, text and files included, as an Elium article in a few clicks.
Keep one source of truth
Every Slack post links back to the source article in Elium.
Common questions
Can users save a Slack message into Elium?
Yes. From the message menu, choose Add to Elium, give it a title and pick a space. It is then available to the members of that space.
Do we install it in every channel?
To capture messages and files, Elium is invited into each channel you want to publish from.
Can Slack be notified when we publish?
Yes. An administrator maps each space to a channel, and publishing an article in that space posts a notification there.
What Slack data does Elium keep?
User identifiers, to match people with their Elium account, plus the articles and files sent through the feature.
